“Accomplish more with the people you know”
This is the tagline for JamJar, a Web 2.0 demonstration application built using Adobe Flex technologies. The goal of JamJar was to provide a rich, graphical, and fun user experience for collaboration amongst small groups. And that it has! Launch JamJar now and indulge in the exciting new experience that can be offered using Flex 2 and Flash Player 9.
It is easy to start sharing digital content with the people you invite to your space. Invite? Yep, that’s right. When you create a new space (a digital canvas) you can invite people to share and participate at varied access levels (such as a guest, or content author). This means your content can be shared in a much more controlled environment, rather than having open and public access such as you get with other social networking sites (blogs, myspace.com etc). A great way to share with the people you know.
Flex Data Services provides the synchronisation and end-to-end persistence when new content is published to your space, and ActionScript 3.0 enabled the powerful custom component creation and a sophisticated development environment for those familiar with other structured languages.
Overall, JamJar is an awesome demonstration of the possibilities Adobe Flex 2 can provide - a rich, graphical and interactive user experience, with the scalability that is required by many Enterprise level applications.
btw - If you create a space, feel free to send me an invite! aspauldi [at] adobe [dot] com

Very cool, but how do you turn the sounds off? They’re neat.. for the first little bit but now they are just annoying and loud.
Very cool app though.
Wouldn’t you know it, I found it right after typing my comment.
I think ctrl-c, ctrl-v and stuff should work when copying widgets, now that would be really neat.
